[Penny prints] Lot with more than 60 handcoloured woodcut and letterpress penny prints

All 19th century and ± 42 x 33 cm. (horizontal and vertical sizes).

Including several doubles. All prints reinforced with newsprint on reverse, several prints with lacking pieces, tears, stains, folds and creasing. Despite the poor condition a lovely and colourful collection with lovely subjects and series, incl. 8 prints published by (de erven) H. van Munster en Zoon at Amsterdam and with logo of the Maatschappij Tot Nut van 't Algemeen, a series of 10 prints published by C.C.L. van Staden at Amsterdam and a series of 7 prints from the series Prenten-Magazijn voor de Jeugd published by J. Schuitemaker at Purmerend. Subjects include various types of mills, famous Dutchmen, professions, biblical scenes, Laurens Koster (one large woodcut), Till Eulenspiegel, an alphabet print and prints with the stories of William Tell, Robinson Crusoë, Bluebeard and Gulliver.
