Ten family photo albums of the same family
with ± 1400 b/w photos in various sizes, 1913 - March 1944, contemporary non-uniform cordbound cloth (7x)/ cardboard (2x), oblong (small) folio and 1 smaller album, contemporary cloth, oblong 8vo.
Unidentified family, but the same as the one in lot 1399. Several albums with small label with short description of the contents: "Spanje 1913 en oude foto's"; "Reis '29 en Zeist '29-32"; "Baarn 1932-1937"; "Baarn 1935-1936"; "'37-'40 Indië, Schweiz, Schliersee, Aachemsee, Meyerhofen Stud. tijd". Collection of characteristic family albums of a clearly affluent family, mostly consisting of European holiday snapshots and portraits and incl. photos of their large house at Aristoteleslaan 21 in Zeist (1920s-30s). The portraits give a beautiful depiction of the development of the family children into adults. Several photos show flags with swastikas, others the results of a bombardment of Arnhem, thus ending decades of apparent carefreeness.
