Niko Paape was at the center of the Dutch experimental film movement of the mid 20th cent. He, along w. other STOFF (Studio ter Ontwikkeling van Film and Filmmanifestaties) employees such as Barbara Meter, Mattijn Seip and Jos Schoffelen, ran the Electric Cinema, which was at the heart of the movement.
