General Idea (Toronto, 1967-1994) was an artists' collective made up of Felix Partz, Jorge Zontal and AA Bronson, striving to critique popular and media culture by way of humour, parody, and irony. From 1987 onwards their work addressed the AIDS crisis, both Partz and Zontal died of AIDS in 1994.
