Rare bibliophile copy of Schwitter's famous sound poem, first printed in 1922 in 'Die Blume Anna'. Contains a proof print and final version, printed by Reinold Kuipers in an edition of 10. (1) Original proof, collaged text on packing paper with printer's notes in red marker. Uncut sheet, 50 x 16.4 cm, folded to 25 x 8.2 cm. (2) Printed version on grey wove paper, made in an edition of 10. Uncut sheet, 50 x 16.4 cm, folded to 25 x 8.2 cm. Partly browned on title sheet, else very good.
Kuipers, co-director of publishing house Querido at the time, set up the private press 'De Zondagsdrukkers' in 1953 with his friend and author Simon Carmiggelt to typeset and print editions themselves. For individual projects, however, he adopted the imprint 'De Zondagsdrukker' (singular). Provenance: gift from Reinoud Kuipers to K. Schippers. (total 2)
