Invitation card Kleinen Sommerfest: Après John Cage

Galerie Parnass Wuppertal, 1962. Folding card, 14.8 x 21 cm, printed one side. Announcement for the first public manifestation in which the term 'Fluxus' is introduced. George Maciunas is listed as 'Chefredakteur der neuen Kunst-Zeitschrift FLUXUS'.

The card is addressed in handwriting to Herrn und Frau Karl Hebecker, and lists the programme for the 'small Summer Festival' held on the evening of June 9 1962. Maciunas and Benjamin Patterson presented concert pieces (Après John Cage, Variation für Kontrabass, Duo, and Lippen-Musik) which they performed together with Caspari, Jed Curtis and Nam June Paik.
