Two Ecart Yearbooks 1973

Geneva, Ecart Publications,1973. Miniature artists' books compiled by John Armleder, John Gosling, Patrick Lucchini, Gerald Minkoff, and Daniel Spoerri. Entirely made of discarded material from previous Ecart publications. Both copies with stamped title on purple front sheet, publisher's stamp and hand-written number on rear. 'Homage à Dieter Rot' stamped diagonally in green on paper edge.

(1) No.43/430, 4.9 x 5.3 x 2 cm, approx. 200 pp. Front with legible stamp, some staining on margins, text 'Homage à Dieter Rot' faded, rear sheet very good. (2) No.67/430, 4.9 x 5.3 x 3 cm, approx. 300 pp. Front partly faded and small stain, text 'Homage à Dieter Rot' legible, rear sheet fine. The Ecart Group was founded in 1969 in Geneva by John M. Armleder, Claude Rychner and Patrick Lucchini. The collective was active in the international experimental art scene of the 1970s and 1980s, and functioned as publishing house, bookstore, exhibition space and gallery. The 1973 yearbooks were the sole yearbooks released. (total 2)
