Arnald, George. The River Meuse being delineations of the picturesque scenery on that river

and its banks, from the city of Liège to that of Mezieres, the drawings on the spot were made in the summer of 1818. London, J. and A.Arch. Cornhill, 1828, letterpress title and introd. (2 p.), engr. map and 30 aquatint plates by S.W. Reynolds, C. Turner a.o., after Arnald, each with text from 2 to 4 pages, 4 engr. plans in the text, cont. gilt full red. mor. by Cleaver (London), gilt and ribbed spine, gilt edges and inside dentelles, a.e.g., folio. One plate trimmed inside the plate-mark, remounted on later paper and attached to a stub (possibly from another copy), another plate ("Walzen") numb. "No. 24", of sl. smaller size and mounted on a stub (possibly from another copy/ edition); foxed and offsetting from plates and text to opposite pages throughout. First free endpaper loosening, leather torn/ chipped at spine-ends (lacking head- and tailband, joints rubbed), outer corners showing. Attractively bound copy.
