Jenny Holzer. Two Survival Series stickers, 1983
Published by Barbara Gladstone Gallery New York, (n.d.) 1983. Printed in metallic silver and black, 10.4 x 10 cm, rear side printed on brown stock with the gallery address and dates of the exhibition: 5 November - 1 December.
The Truisms read: (1) Put food out in the same place every day and talk to the people who come to eat and organize them. Very good copy. (2) Dance on Down to the Government and tell them you're eager to rule because you know that's good for you. Light corner bump lower left, else good. The works were part of a guerrilla stickering campaign. Stunning early samples of Holzer's ongoing text-based Survival Series. (total 2)
