[Dutch] Louis Noiret (Amsterdam, 1896 – Amsterdam, 1968) + Maurice Dumas (Arnhem, 1878-Amsterdam, 1937)

Lot with ca. 109 sheets by these two Amsterdam artists.

Noiret was a pianist from 1920 and become famous for his songs during mobilisation. After his active career he founded a record store and in 1955 discovered Johnny Jordaan. Dumas was humorist-poet songwriter, started his career in 1893 and was mainly popular until WOI. During that time he recorded more than 600 songs, and even gained international fame. He and his wife were Jewish. Maurice died shortly before the war. His wife Duifje Schuitenvoerder was killed in Auschwitz in 1942.
