Rare publication with wonderful plates by C.C.A. Last after T.C. Bruining: I. Plegtige inhaling der reünisten; II. De Maskerade op de Breedestraat; III. De Breedestraat bij illuminatie. IV. Vauxhall op de ruïne; V. Vuurwerk op de ruïne; V. Vauxhall op de Vink. In a preface, the author mentions "eene groote plaat, getiteld Fête Champêtre van burgers aan studenten. Leyden 26 Junij 1855", an illustration people wanted, but which was unfortunately not provided in this publication. However, interestingly, this illustration is present in our copy! So with: "Fête Champêtre van Burgers aan Studenten. Leyden 26 Junij 1855. Schets naar 't leven. Litho by C.C.A. Last after T.C. Bruining, 35 x 40 cm., under passe-partout (restored copy).
