Series of 8 (of ?) prints all 29 x 19 cm. and signed in the plate "Elias van den Bossche", after prints by Christoph Schwarz, published by Pieter Overraat, bound together in 19th-century cover, folio.

Somewhat foxed, but in excellent condition, beautiful printings. Extremely rare print series after prints by Johannes Sadeler I; even single prints from this series rarely appear on the market. The Rijksprentenkabinet possesses a series of 9 prints, including Het Laatste Avondmaal, a print not included in our series. Most certainly present are (in this order): Christus voor de hogepriester; De bespotting; de kruisiging; de geseling; Christus valt onder zijn kruis; Pilatus breekt zijn staf; Christus ontdaan van zijn kleding; Christus aan het kruis.
