Amsterdam, C. Jordan, 1722, 4 vols. in 2 bindings, 135,(1);(137)-257; 137,(1);158 p., with 5 folding, engraved plates, contemporary uniform calf with ribbed, gilt back, small 8vo.

Here and there small defects such as water stains and foxing, a few minimal wormholes. Good copy. The "Ambassades" are divided into three volumes with separate title pages in red and black, of which the first two volumes with consecutive paging. The "Relation des guerres civiles", too, has a separate title page. Extremely rare, no copies of this Amsterdam edition in PiCarta or KvK! The copy shown in auction results when Googling the title is this copy! Elsewhere only a few copies found (in Japan). An edition often found in libraries is Paris, Pierre Witte, 1722. That edition does list the author Arnoldus Montanus on the title page. Similar to our edition, the first edition (Leiden, 1686) appeared anonymously. Our edition is probably a pirate edition; here the publisher Claude Jordan names himself "Libraire dans le Wyde-steegh sur le Rokin".
