[Zaandijk. Adriaan Jans van Vleuten] "Kund und zu wissen (...)"

Official testimonial in pen and brown ink, with a large drawing above the text with centered Mercury figure on sphere with Bacchus figure, a ship and a wheelbarrow with the word "Taback", the document addressed to "A.J. van Vleuten aus Zaandijk alt 31 Jahr" and signed by 9 people, dated "Hamburg 1821" and with 4 wax seals on the paper and 2 on a silk ribbon woven into the paper, 41.5 x 54 cm.

Folded and with discolouring due to the ribbon and the seals, one seal with damaged ribbon. Curious, difficult to read document, thanks to the mentioning of age and residence it can be concluded that it must concern Adriaan Jans van Vleuten (1790-1826). The seals (incl. "Alten Rheinwein JHB" and "Floria Comercia Hamburg"), the drawing and the repeated word "Wein" reveal the nature of the document, i.e. wine trade. Signed by J.H. Becker, A. Dulcken, M. Hellermann, Carl Haarhaus and others.
