[Militaria. Signature William V] Jan Caspar Evers (1765-1830)

Archive of 15 original, handwritten and signed documents (6x preprinted and completed by hand), including 9 sealed pieces, mostly appointments in battalions mentioned by name illustrating Evers's rich military career, dated 1781-1814, incl. 6 documents ratified by William V with his signature "W. Pr. v. Orange", various sizes but mostly approx. A4 size.

Lovely, interesting archive, including an extract from the Bredevoort baptismal register (Evers was baptised on 7 April 1765), dated 17 March 1797 and a note in which the father of Jan Caspar (Harmen Evers) on 9 March 1797 recorded his approval of the marriage between his son and "Jongvrouwe Maria Tousain". This concerns Anna Maria Toussain (1768-1840). See: https://tinyurl.com/n868vq9. Also a "Staat van Dienst" compiled and signed by Jan Caspar Evers himself, oddly enough beginning with: "Gebooren te Bredevoort den 13 april 1767." Evers began his military career as Cadet with the regiment of Burmania in 1777. Of the remaining promotions on the list the actual official confirmations are also included in the lot, including 6 pieces signed by William V himself and by his secretary, P.J. de Larrey. Three appointments are included with not only the confirmation by William V (2x with his own signature), but also the original document of the Gedeputeerde Staten van Friesland (2x, 1783 and 1793) or that of the Commissaris-Generaal van het Departement van Oorlog (1814) (total 15 items).
