Name Toonder written at the bottom right. With accompanying letter from shop window builder and then-employee of Firma Rodermond, D.P.J. de Jonge to collector (Piet) Koudenburg. In it, he describes how the drawing was presented by Toonder himself to the shop in response to the special shop window decoration for the occasion of the release of his Tom Poes en de Watergeest. Correspondence with the original owner and original photo of the shop window are enclosed.
