[(Post)incunable leaves] Collection of 30 vellum leaves,

pasted with margin in modern cardboard album with older morocco letterpiece on front board: "Livre d'Heures. Pigouchet". The album contains: (1-22) 22 vellum leaves from Livre d'Heures a Lusaige de Romme, published by Philippe Pigouchet in Paris, 1495, all with varying very rich metalcut borders and handpainted, gilt initials in red and blue (first leaf with large hole, several leaves with shortly trimmed top margin. Information copied from strip in album); (23-31) loose vellum leaves from various similar publications (e.g. 2 leaves published by Gilles Hardouin, ca. 1509-1510 (indicated on strips in album)), incl. a bifolium with a large number of handpainted and gilt initials and a beautiful leaf with abundantly gilt, handpainted margin and initials. Most extraordinary of all, however, is a leaf with a beautiful handpainted miniature of 4 x 2.2 cm. with Pietà scene (printed by Thielman Kerver?). The album also contains a small yet attractive vellum leaf from an unidentified manuscript and a paper leaf printed in red and black from a small postincunable (album with altogether 32 leaves).
