[Marten Toonder] Leoplan
Diana Edition strips (Toonder (Studio's) / Gottesmann) publication bimonthly magazine Leoplan (no. 78 (5-1-1938) up to and including no. 291 (3-7-1946)). Magazine Popular Argentino. Una publicacion de la editorial sopeno Argentina. Contains all comics drawn by Toonder (Studio's) published during these years (e.g. Don Sombrero).
Toonder had been part in Diana Edition since 31-6-1940 and became its sole owner on 17-9-1941. The company retained its name, but became part of Toonder Studio's. Between 4-1-1939 and 3-7-1946, comics from the Diana Edition collection regularly appeared in Leoplan. The owner reckons a small number of comics were drawn by Toonder (or his studios), under a different name (=Ghosting). Provided with a "G" after the number.
Unique and probably the most complete collection in the Netherlands. Ca. 164 numbers (list available by request).
