[Delfland. Kruikius wall map] 'T Hooge Heemraedschap van Delflant,

met alle de steden, dorpen, ambachten, litmaten, polders, blocken, gehugten, buerten, hofsteden, woningen (...) daer in gelegen op voetmaet in kaert gebracht ao. MDCCXII. Wall map after cartographers Nicolaes and Jacob Kruikius [Cruquius], engraved by T. Doesburgh, L. van Ansé, Jan and Jacob Deur and P. Sluyter, ornaments engraved by A. Houbraken, the 10 coats of arms of the dijkgraven engraved by P. Haringh, published at Delft, 1712, bound as atlas with the title strip on 2 double-folio leaves, the (oft-lacking) reduced overview map on one double-folio leaf and the map itself on 25 double-folio leaves, contemporary speckled calf, both boards with gilt border, ribbed and gilt back, large folio (56 x 37 cm.).

Content here and there trifle stained/ slightly thumbed; binding damaged on spine ends and in several places along edges of boards, several minor other defects (well restorable). Donkersloot-De Vrij 806. The brilliantly detailed wall map - total measurements after mounting ca. 250 x 350 cm.! - belongs among the absolute highlights of Dutch cartography.
