Photo album Indonesia 1872-1902

Unique photo album with ca. 210 photos, most albumin prints, of which ca. 153 taken in Indonesia. Varying in size, incl. 6 photos by Stafhell & Kleingrothe, 36 x 27.5 cm, signed in print, most unsigned, with Dayak warriors, Borneo, dog cart, landing party N. Guinea Oct. 1900, Ambonese women, Borobudur 1872, snapshots in Cheribon, departure of a boat of the Paketvaartmaatschappij of Tandjung Priok, Batavia zoo etc.

At the beginning of the album 16 photos of Norway with e.g. K. Knudsen, Bergen, of which 11 of Christiana (3 of which with name Knudsen in print), and another 5 of Norway, a photo of Waterloo place, Edinburough, ca. 1888, 3 photos of the construction of the Forth Bridge at Queensferry, ca. 1885 and another 22 of Scotland + 4 of Hellevoetsluis, 3 of Onrust, 1 of Luzern, 130 on Indonesia, remainder of various places e.g. Spitsbergen 1906 and one of the King of the Netherlands 1893 on board a ship. All photos provided with inscription by first owner. Photos mostly pasted at corners in album 40 x 30 cm. (some 20 photos loose in album).
