[One of 100 copies in vellum] Shakespeare's Comedy of A Midsummer-Night's Dream.

With illustrations by W. Heath Robinson. London, printed by Bradbury, Agnew & Co. for Constable & Co., 1914, one of 250 numbered copies signed by the illustrator (this is number 79, one of 100 bound in full vellum), XII,(4),185,(3) p., with 12 pasted, coloured plates and 32 full-page b/w illustrations, original gilt vellum, top edge gilt, 4to.

Endpapers browned, binding slightly soiled/ stained. The white silk bookmark is present but loose. With contemporary dedication in pen on the free endpaper by J.W. Paul Turner. Not all 250 copies were bound in vellum: "A signed limited edition of 250 copies printed on handmade paper of which only 100 were issued in 1914 bound in vellum gilt with a white silk marker… the balance of the signed, limited edition issued (in 1919) in quarter green cloth, green boards, paper label on spine." (Beare, 1983). The most important work by William Heath Robinson, in its most desirable version.
