Elephant folio (58.5 x 48 cm.), modern faux-leather binding, new endpapers; the 20 platen on strips in chromolithography. All plates (90 x 57.5 cm.) with mild (water)staining; plate 13 with heavier browning. All plates titled and numbered. A few minor tears along edges outside the image, repaired. Back board with rubbing.

Beautiful and complete set of chromolithographed anatomical plates by physician Jean-Baptiste Marc Bourgery and lithographer Nicolas Henri Jacob. Scarce.
