The Hague, Weduwe Van Duren, 1760, (63) p., 56 illustrations of army camps on 49 engraved plates (1x folding), 1 large folding letterpress table and three (folding) engraved maps indicated as I-IV in the index, contemporary halfleather, gilt and ribbed back with morocco letterpiece, oblong 4to.

Text part vaguely waterstained in top left corner. Backstrip damaged, some edgewear. With old, partly difficult to read owner's name to inside back board (from Condé-sur-Lescaux). Collation of the plates is somewhat complicated as the maps are partly unnumbered and one incorrectly numbered and some plates contain several images (the binder struggled here, too): 18 to 21 together, 29 and 56 together on one plate incorrectly numbered 56 (this number appears twice), 30 and 54 together, 39 and 41 together and 50 and 51 together and number 56 consists of 2 plates. A previous description of this copy interpreted this differently, with the 4 Roman-numbered "Morceaux" counted with the series of 56 illustrations. Besides the order of binding, the collation is exactly the same as in the online digitised copy and in a copy offered online. Rare, detailed elaboration of war camps during a specific war in the year 1757.
