Johannes Evert Akkeringa (1861-1942). Four items: (1) (Girls at the beach).

Study, oil in shades of grey and brown on canvas, 26.5 x 20 cm., signed "J. Akkeringa" bottom right, in profusely gilt frame.

(2) (Study of a naked boy). Drawing in black chalk, leaf 41 x 33 cm., signed "J. Akkeringa" and dated 1937 in leadpoint. Leaf lacks top left half and several smaller pieces, pasted and with central fold. Possibly by Johannes Evert Akkeringa junior (1894-1983), who signed in the same manner. And two smaller drawings, signed "J. Akkeringa", set on one piece of cardboard. (total 4)
