Relief print, printed from two cliché blocks in yellow and orange, printed monogram, with book printing in grey, leaf dimensions 17.5 x 15.5 cm.

Remains of removed tape on reverse, visible on the face (paper slightly thinner near one of these stains); slightly yellowed due to former mounting. Bool/ Locher 384 (as woodcut from two blocks). Reverse with address of sender Ir. Eugène Strens stamped in red, and with in grey letterpress: "Ontwerp M.C. Escher, Baarn. Vuur: nr. 3 van de reeks "De vier elementen" 492 c".
