Large 8vo, 4 parts in two vols., vellum, new bindings and endpapers, uniformly bound, title on spine in brown and gilt stamping, marbled edges, coloured allegorical frontispiece with title, (44),536 and (2),(6),227; (2),(10),268; (2),(6),96 pp. with 4 engraved title pages and 111 copper engravings in the text, all in colour. Paging occ. irregular. First title page expertly restored, first page reinforced with paper, last pages at the end of part 4 (second vol.) restored with minimal loss to text; else very good copies.
