Owner's name to title page (dated 1868); occ. foxing; plate XIV bound upside down. Binding with light traces of use. In all a fine copy. The colour-printing technique used here results in beautiful multicolour plates not expected in a book of this age. Michel-Eugène Chevreul (1786-1889), highly decorated French chemist.
