Text leaves numbered I-XX. Plates in xilography (relief printing) printed in orange-red. The prints by David Hess after similar examples by the great English caricaturist James Gillray.

Shabby wrapper, front endpapers, title page and the first text leaf with waterstaining, remaining text and prints in very good condition. David Hess was a Swiss artist and soldier in the French army, also stationed in Holland. Scarce.
