The work describes his missionary travels but particularly his view on religious customs, language and writing in the Sanskrit tradition and the spread of muslim influence in the north of India. Paulinus of St. Bartholomew, born Filip Vezdin, was a Croatian Carmelite missionary and philologist. Standard work for Indian linguistics.
