Deur, 88 x 114 cm., edition c. 1780, mounted on cloth in 40 segments, with 6 coats of arms of the Hoogheemraden and 1 larger coat of arms in the upper sections, cartouche with scale in tail margin, the cities (Amsterdam, Haarlem, Enkhuizen, Hoorn, Alkmaar etc.) coloured red and connected with red lines.

Donkersloot-De Vrij 751. Famous wall map, originally published in four parts in 1680. For the next editions only the arms of the Hoogheemraden were changed, for our edition Willem Winder, W.L. Graaf van Nassau Bergen, Jacob van Twuyver, Cornelis Kuyper, Daniel Ras and G.G.G. van der Mieden. With a small, oval additional cartouche added in the 19th century: "Carte ou Département du Nord du Royaume d'Hollande . Les lignes marqués en rouges indiquent les chemins qui conduisent aux principales villes et principeaux villages du dit Departement."
