Cornelis Groeneveld (active c. 1795-1813) (after). 4 rare prints: (1) "De vier tijdperken

van 's menschen leven." Stipple-engraving by P.H.L. van der Meulen after C. Groeneveld, 18 x 22.5 cm (oval), with central verse above the title.

Trimmed inside the plate mark; small hole/ thin spots in upper margin. Atlas van Stolk 5484. Interesting and extremely rare allegorical memento-mori print of around 1800, depicting 4 ages of men in a single image, symbolically using the four seasons; (2) "De tien gebooden". Stipple-engraving by W. van Senus (1773-1851) (?) after C. Groeneveld, 29 x 21.2 cm, with separate letterpress "Verklaring van het kunsttafereel voorstellende De tien geboden des Heeren", entirely in rhyming verse, sheet size 18 x 23 cm. The stipple-engraving trimmed inside the plate-mark and with folds. "Proefdk" (proof state). The letterpres description has an interesting address below the text: "Adres aan 't Gezelschap Kunstminnaren, op de Botersloot, het derde huis van de Heerenstraat, No. 73, inlansdche [sic] Kunst Print-Schlderij-Fabriek" te Rotterdam." Extremely rare, apparently not in Atlas van Stolk. And 2 pendants in the same size of (1) and (2) after C. Groeneveld: (3) Oval stipple-engraving by J. Bennie titled "Geboorte- en huwelyks gedenk-stuk", the central square left blank to be filled-out in pen for a specific occasion (sm. holes); (4) Stipple-engraving by W. van Senus after C. Groeneveld titled "De twaalf artikelen des geloofs", with (sl. dam.) separate letterpress textleaf. Added: similar but sl. larger oval stipple-engraving as (3), with the same title, filled-out in pen with birth- and marriage dates of Frans van der Giessen (1767-1821) and his wife Caatje Vervoorn (1760-1839) and their 5 children; and added a small round stipple-engraving printed in colours. (total 8)
