Family album of painter Nicolaas Mathijs Eekman (1889-1973)

Japanese leporello lacquer album containing 85 mostly small format photos of Eekman, his wife and his family, trips and gallery between 1913 and 1917.

*Eekman lived and worked in Brussel, Nuenen, Amsterdam, Laren and Paris between 1910 and 1920. As a painter, etcher and engraver he was a member of Arti et Amicitiae, St Lucas and 'De Onafhankelijken', in Paris he was a member of Nationale des Beaux Arts and won the gold medal on the Expo 1937 in Paris.
