Guy Debord, The Society of the Spectacle in four versions

(1) Debord's seminal Situationist book draws on philosophy and Marxist critical theory to outline the idea of the Spectacle. Originally published in Paris in 1967, it has been translated into more than twenty languages. This lot presents the first English language edition published by Red & Black in Detroit 1970, containing an unauthorized translation by Fredy Perlman et al. Staple bound wraps, 22 x 13 cm. Heavy rubbing on the covers, interior fine.
