Dutch, ca. 1900, various sm. sizes, preserved in contemp. iron box.
Frequently. bend, lacking attributes and/ or with the paint flaking off. A beautiful, colourful collection of old tin soldiers, the heads separately cast (a few missing), consisting of (large) groups of similarly cast and painted soldiers, including a beautiful set of of loosely mounted soldiers on horseback, a set of 13 presumably Moorish soldiers with spears, swords and shields, three sets of sleigh-dogs, 2 cannons and 2 plants.
