Willems 2030; Sauvy, Livres saisis, no. 302. In fact the third edition, published in the same year as the first edition. François Paul, baron de Lisola (1613-1675), of French origin, was in Imperial diplomatic service, a.o. ambassador for England and head of the envoy to Spain. Lisola defended Maria Theresia's rights to the Spanish throne and remained a pushing opponent of the French power throughout his life. This work was often reprinted and translated into many languages: (2) (G. de Courtilz de Sandraz). La vie du vicomte de Turenne, maréchal général des campes et armées du Roi (...). The original edition of this important source on the life of Henri de la Tour d'Auvergne, vicomte Turenne (1611-1675). And 2 other 17th century French works in 4 vols., incl.
