beroemd Frans tooneel-speelder. Uit het Frans (of Jean Leonor le Gallois de Grimarest) in 't Nederduits gebragt. Amsterdam, N. ten Hoorn, 1705, (4),145,(6) p., with engr. portrait and frontisp., woodcut printer's mark on title, contemp. wr. with small letterpress title (catalogue-clipping) pasted on.

A very modest and fair, but just because of that, attractive copy. Untrimmed and partly protruding ouside wrappers, these lvs. frayed and dustsoied. No paper over spine, contents partly loose(ning). Rare, only 2 copies in NCC. (2) Louis de Cahusac. Zénéïde, comédie en un actem en vers, avec un divertissement. Representée pour la première fois, par les Comédiens du Roy, le 13 May 1743. Paris, Prault, fils, 1744, 42 pp., with engr. frontisp. and title-vignette after Pierre, beautifully bound in 19th cent. full red chagrin, both covers with gilt corner fleurons, board edges and turn-ins, gilt and ribbed spine. A few internal stains, upper joint sl. rubbed, but a lovely, luxuriously bound copy of a rare play. With sm. bookplate of Antiquariaat C.P.J. van der Peet (Amsterdam) on inside frontcover. (3) Prosper Jlyot de Crébillon. Électre, tragedie. Paris, P. Ribou, 1710, (8),65,(3) pp., contemp. limp vellum w. manuscript title on frontcover, 12mo (vellum sl. stained). And 1 similar play (1753).
