Extremely rare: no copies in OCLC, KVK or found anywehere else, except for three copies mentioned in contemporary auction catalogues. The author Charlotte de Bournon Comtesse de Malarme is known for this kind of supposedly English stories; (2) Marie-Anne Le Page, dame du Boccage. La Colombiade, ou La foi portée au nouveau monde. Poëme. Par Madame Du Boccage. Paris, printed by Moreau for Desaint & Saillant/ Durand, 1756, VIII,184,(2) p., with engr. frontisp. portrait of the author by Tardie le fils after Mlle. Loir, 10 fine etched plates for each "chant" by and after Chedel, title-vignette and 10 end-vignettes, contemp. half roan, gilt and ribbed spine w. (sl. dam.) mor. letterpiece (near fine copy). The first edition, often reprinted and translated afterwards. A highly respected, prize-winning poet in her own time, the author was called "Sapho de Normandie" by Voltaire after reading her epic poem. And 1 other similar. (total 3)
