Some plates a bit foxed/ yellowed, sl. offsetting from turn-ins and some unobtrusive outer defects, but a fine copy with owner's entry "Eliza Were Clarke 1797" on first blank of all vols. Rare and relatively early edition in 3 vols., the first edition appeared in 1788. The first 31 pp. comprise an "Essai sur la vie de J.J. Barthélemy."
