19th century, both "boards" with the same decoration of interwoven curls with pearl edges and with centered miniature scenes of a sphere surrounded by 7 stars and (date letter?) "C" (back board) and an ornament in the shape of a braid (front board), hinged connection to a similarly decorated spine, with two clamps with eyes for a stylus, total 7.3 x 12.5 cm. (opened).

One clamp lacks its hook. Detailed and luxurious cover, given the size and shape intended for a dance card.
