Oratoire de la Famille avec indulgences spéciales de S.S. le Pape Pie IX
Paris, Armengaud, ca. 1860, two different cardboard triptychs each with a total of 5 woodcut Bible scenes after triptychs by Rubens, each with forward-folding woodcut illustration of an open bible, each 35 x 54 cm. (open), with eyes for affixing to wall and cross-shaped copper lock to close the whole after closing the book, in gilt cardboard portfolio (various minor defects, portfolio in two parts).
Beautiful example of visually strong Catholicism for home use in the shape of two plain cardboard displays.
