[Postincunable] Figurarum Biblie opus coducibile

et per utile Dm in eo omnes materie continente per clarissimus virum Anthonium de Rampegolis, ordinis sancti augustini in bibliam studiose applicantur. Cologne. [Martin von Werden]. 1511.

12mo, half vellum, renewed wooden boards and endpapers, title page in red and black and printer's mark of Martin von Werden, (38) pp, 239 ff, 5 leaves with full-page woodcuts, one leaf with 2 woodcuts and 2 woodcuts in the text. Title, date and sticker with number on spine in ms., names on title and endpaper, 2 woodcuts with hole and stains (recto and verso), water stains, annotations and underlinings, with thumb-index. Woodcuts plain and charming. Good copy. ADDITONAL INFORMATION: After new research we can add the following. The work is extremely rare. According to the description of the single copy we traced, the printer is Cornelius von Zierickzee, who left the Netherlands because of the local recession in the printer's market at the end of the 15th century, just like many of his colleagues, to test his luck (in his case in Cologne) abroad. Differences in pagination of the preliminary leaves of our copy and the digitized one seem to ensue from counting the plates as text-pages inside the collation, or outside it.
