The most famous work by the Italian Jesuit and historian Famiano Strada (1572-1649) is De bello Belgico decades duae. The first volume (presented here) describes the war between the Spanish troops under the Duke of Parma and those of the States General under William of Orange. The first volume appeared from 1632. The second volume only in 1647.
