(Water)stained in margins, small tear in page 75-76, here and there some foxing; not all plates are bound in the right place. Approved and numbered "25" in pen and by the author. Very rare, extremely exclusive work printed on very heavy paper, in the original edition. The list of subscribers contains only 87 names (4 of whom had already died at the time of publication). Besides Leopold I and two high-ranking noblemen, almost exclusively libraries of military hospitals and doctors are listed, only a handful of booktraders. PiCarta mentions only 3 copies of the edition 1858.
