Lot with 6 late 19th-/ early 20th-century photos,

incl. (1-2) (Three Westerners and 8 Indonesians (?) in front of and in an enormous banyan fig). (Group of 12 Westerners [incl. the three from the previous photo] playing 9-pins at a plantation (?), with 2 Indonesian (?) children as assistants). Two albumen photos, 34 x 27.5 cm. and 27 x 33.5 cm., on cardboard holders.

Both photos in very poor condition (creased, with tears and damage, the second faded and blurred). Nevertheless still of interest due to the subjects. (3) (Group of Japanese gentlemen in traditional and western dress with unknown device). Photo, 21 x 26 cm., mounted to cardboard holder with character monogram of the photographer, with wrapper with on inside an explanation in character script. And with 3 more, incl. (4) a group photo of 39 Japanese men by J. Suzuki (with pasted person legend on reverse) and (5) a group photo with some 60 Japanese ladies and a few gentlemen by T. Oguri. (total 6)
