[Picture postcards] Album with ± 200 picture postcards
c. 1910-1930, mostly coloured, nearly all unused, mostly series such as WWI caricatures, militaria, flags, sports (football, rowing, billiards, horse riding and skiing), hunting and airplanes, early 20th-century halfcloth, folio.
The name W.F. Prins appears several times on the reverse of the cards (stamped or written), probably the collector. Contains the following series: a series of 6 cards regarding Dutch neutrality in WWI in caricatures by Th. Molkenboer; a series of 9 cards regarding the exiled Wilhelm, German Crown Prince (1882-1951) in caricatures by Jan Lutz from 1919 (also a number of photocards of the prince and other cartoons with this subject); a series of 6 English cards with cartoons of football matches (with monogram R.M.S.); a fine series of 6 cards with players of Dutch football clubs (incl. Sparta) by an unknown illustrator (thumbtack holes); a series of 6 football cards by Braunthal and Ranzenhofer and a similar series of 6 cards of rowing matches by the same; a series of 6 cards with caricatures of billiards players; various series with early airplanes (altogether 26 cards); "Uit de IIe Kamer", a lovely cartoon series of 8 cards with a woman visiting the bathroom; a photocard of H.V.V. players after having defeated Ajax, 23 Sept. 1917 and two copies of a movable card.
