van Ryn." Complete series of 10 numbered etchings after Rembrandt, 1757, all signed "C. Scul" and monogrammed "C.S." in print, preceded by a contemporary manuscript title page, no binding, folio (mild foxing, outer margin with mild creasing).
Without printed title page: Histoire de Joseph, accompagnée de dix figures, relatives aux Principaux Evenemens de la Vie de ce Fils du patriarche Jacob, et gravées sur les modèles du fameux Reimbrandt (Amsterdam, Jean Neaulme, 1757) ("ouvrage utile aux jeunes gens, tant pour les mœurs que pour les principes du dessin"). Fine complete set of 10 etchings after drawings by Rembrandt kept at the Louvre since 1842 and currently partly attributed to students, e.g. Gerbrand van den Eeckhout. An early owner of the drawings was painter Charles-Antoine Joseph Coypel, an acquaintance of De Caylus.
