Two items, the first with signed dedication by Henk Chabot
(1) A.M. Hammacher. Het leven bloeit op de ruines [bij het werk van Charley Toorop en Henk Chabot]. No place, Final Stage Press, Summer 1944, printed in 400 copies (175, this is number 226, the first of the copies not printed on Haesbeek de Luxe), 31,(1) p., with 11 pasted plates after Toorop (4) and Chabot (7), original wrapper with dust jacket, folio.
Poor, slightly foxed copy with discoloured, slightly frayed margins (mostly dust jacket, also on spine). De Jong 354. With DEDICATION IN PEN by Henk Chabot to Ernst Lampe [with his bookplate below the dedication]: "Met hart. gelukswensen op 31/1 - '45 je vriend Henk."; (2) Monogrammist DB (intertwined). "Une tranchée abandonnée par les Anglais 26/4. 15 (...)". Watercolour in shades of grey, 35 x 27.5 cm., monogrammed in pen and titled below the image in pencil, reverse with annotation in pencil "près de l'Yzer (fine example of "trench art").
