Manuscript on vellum, 69 x 72 cm., dated "the twelfth day of ffebruary in the ffourteenth year of our reign" (1741), with engraved portrait of king George II (1683-1760) top left and engraved strip in head margin, with attached large wax seal and blue paper tax seal.
Plasticised; wax seal broken and partly lacking; sold w.a.f. Legal document concerning a dispute about the possession or use of various types of land (meadow, farmland, forest) in the Aston Rowant (Parish) area, between Samuel Worrall (Oxfordshire) and John Scott, who were both summoned in court to plead their cases. Other persons present in various roles (e.g. witnesses) include Robert and Matthias Huntley and Jacob Morland. Presiding judge was Sir John Willes (1685-1761).
