Some damage to the image. Reverse with later annotation in pencil: "Australian Chancery Netherlands", almost certainly the original location of the portrait. Elizabeth Angela Marguerite Bowes-Lyon (1900-2002) was the wife of King George VI of the United Kingdom and the mother of Queen Elizabeth II. She was the last Empress of India.
