Willem de Ridder, Paper Constellations
Captivating photographic documentation of four different PK events. Included is a series of de Ridder between his Paper Constellations at the RAI (tradefair) in Amsterdam, circa 1963. Photos by Paul van den Bos. + A series by Dick Kok. + Boxed PKs, early 60s probably shot by the artist himself. All pictures provenance Willem De Ridder archives.
After finishing the Academy for Art and Design in 's-Hertogenbosch, de Ridder decided to stop painting. He took the white paper from his easel and crumpled it into a Paper Constellation (PK). He presented the ball as his art and introduced PK Theatre, Music, Fashion, Installations, Architecture and Philosophy. PK installations were part of various Fluxus shows. (total 12)
